The Great Organ Symphony | Concert Summary

    The Scottsdale Philharmonic presented an unforgettable performance of The Great Organ Symphony at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church in Arizona. Featuring one of the largest organs in the state, this powerful and thrilling concert brought Saint-Saëns’ iconic “Organ Symphony” to life, resonating deeply with audience members.

Academic Festival Overture, Op. 80 by Johannes Brahms (1833–1897)

Les Préludes, S. 97 by Franz Liszt (1811–1886)

My Heart Opens to Your Voice from Samson and Delilah, Op. 47 by Camille Saint-Saëns (1835–1921)

Featuring Cassandra Cárdenas, Mezzo-Soprano

Symphony No. 3, Op. 78 (Organ Symphony) by Camille Saint-Saëns (1835–1921)

Featuring Jeremy Peterman, Organist


     Under the direction of Maestro Vanja Gjumar Nikolovski, the concert showcased the exceptional talents of soloists Cassandra Cárdenas and Jeremy Peterman, as well as a remarkable piano duet by Svetlana Obregon and Vitaly Serebriakov.

     For over 12 years, the Scottsdale Philharmonic has been proud to serve as “Your Valleywide Symphony,” providing world-class classical music to audiences of all ages throughout Arizona. As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we receive no funding from any church, city, state, or government. Instead, we rely solely on the generosity of donations and the support of our classical music patrons to continue our mission.

     For this performance, we were honored to provide free tickets to students and veterans, ensuring that this incredible musical experience was accessible to all ages and demographics in our community.
